At the heart of the organizational structure of the Selex Group is the Head Office, whose role is to optimize the commercial performance of the member companies, encourage supply-side innovation and modernization in the retail outlets, generate intra-Group efficiencies and enhance employee skills. The mission of the Selex Head Office is to create value for the member companies, consolidate their presence in local areas and, at the same time, cultivate extensive synergies between them.
One of the priorities of 2017 is to help the companies adopt pricing strategies that best suit the local area and the particular format of the store. Achieving this requires not just commercial nous and awareness, but also advanced organizational instruments, which the Group companies are progressively acquiring.


The central purchasing agency offers the following services: Sales, Marketing, Efficiency and Synergies, and Know-how and Innovation. Each of these services is based on interaction between the purchasing agency and companies, the objective being to maximize results while maintaining the value of being adapted to local areas.

The Head Office deals with Sales, Marketing, Efficiency & Synergies, and Know-how. Each of these requires a protocol of interaction between Selex and its member companies, and the aim is to maximize revenues without losing sight of the value inherent in the companies’ ability to adapt themselves to the specific needs of the local areas in which they operate. The Sales division of Selex is responsible for finalizing commercial arrangements with ESD Italia and EMD, organizing national promotional campaigns, supporting distributor brands and assuring quality. The Marketing division is in charge of innovative instruments for gathering intelligence, database management, CRM, pricing, web development, management efficiency, and special projects.


The Efficiency & Synergies division develops ways for member companies to make cost savings by leveraging the synergies available within the Group, such as agreements for the joint procurement of goods and services. It also organizes actions to improve the efficiency of business activities and processes. The Know-how division's responsibilities include coming up with new formats and product clusters to enhance the product range and the distinctiveness of the retail outlets. Its responsibilities extend to training activities aimed at expanding and disseminating knowledge and experience among the companies of the Selex Group.
