Sharing Knowledge, Growing Together
Working together brings the added value of sharing experiences and plans. The Selex Group’s strength lies in an ability to forge synergies and achieve shared objectives. Head Office supports Group members, fostering innovation and enhancing expertise. The Selex Lab division and Synergies & Innovation Committee actively engage in this process; the Committee focuses on collective goods and services procurement process optimization for implementation agreements.
Selex Lab: Training and Informing
The Selex Lab division was established in 2024 to cultivate company culture and innovation, and to raise skill levels in the workforce. Initiatives span training, skill sharing, and customer engagement programmes. Projects are executed in partnership with entities in the research sector, universities, consulting firms, and specialists in relevant fields.
Training programmes are delivered through seminars primarily held in-classroom; online sessions are also provided. Headline Selex Lab initiatives include cluster projects and formats, and structured meetings for work groups to generate final guideline documents for the immediate application of implementation solutions. Online training focuses on the evolution of consumer classes and categories. Part of a drive to foster continuous improvement, the Customer Listening project is another important venture, gathering, interpreting, leveraging and sharing insights gleaned from consumers.

New Projects for 2025
Acknowledging the fresh food sector’s increasingly strategic role, a Skills School tailored to the customers the Group serves is due for launch in 2025 to enhance knowledge on products, facilitate improvement initiatives, and promote synergies among member companies. Customer relations and understanding key economics in different departments are two of the thematic areas to be explored. Another exciting development is the establishment of the Format Commission, which will examine the evolution of space across different store types, spanning elements from assortments to visual merchandising, digital signage, sustainability, technology, and the shopping experience.
